Nifco Inc. (Headquarters: Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Pref., President: Masaharu Shibao, hereinafter "Nifco") has won the Special Jury Award at the Well Aging Economic Forum's "Well-being & Age-tech 2025 Award" for its foot grasping strength measuring device "HAJICHECK."
■About "「Well-being ＆ Age-tech 2025 Award"
The award organized by the "Well Aging Economic Forum" aims to solve the global challenge of an extremely low birthrate and aging population. They recognize domestic initiatives selected by experts in intellectual property, technology, and other fields based on the utilization of science, technology, and innovation that contributes to the SDGs and the "Decade of Healthy Aging 2021-2030", as well as their inclusiveness, integration, originality, innovation, expandability, and storytelling.
The award ceremony was held at Toranomon Hills Forum on December 16th.

■Award-winning products and reasons
"HAJICHECK" is a training and measurement device that visualizes foot grasping strength and allows users to train it while having fun.
Foot grasping strength plays an important role in daily life, contributing to physical stability and fall prevention. A one-year follow-up study of healthy elderly people found that those who fell had an average of 20% weaker foot grasping strength than those who did not. Another study found that elderly people who underwent toe training had a significantly reduced risk of falls, leading to increased attention being paid to foot grasping strength as a factor in fall prevention in recent years.

This award recognizes "HAJICHECK" for being the world's first innovative device that accurately visualizes "foot grasping strength", the key to fall prevention, and integrates measurement and training. Its innovative, inclusive, and deployable nature contributes to the safety and health of a wide range of people, from seniors to field workers, by incorporating a game-like element to foster sustainable exercise habits.
