Nifco Inc. (Headquarters: Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Pref., President: Masaharu Shibao (hereinafter, Nifco)) have commercialized and started mass production of screen adjusters for mid-sized motorcycles in addition to small motorcycles, leveraging Nifco’s unique structure.
The “screen adjuster” adjusts the height and angle of the windscreen (windshield) installed on the front of a motorcycle to suit the rider's preference and riding style, enabling comfortable and stylish driving.
Previously, this screen adjuster had not been mounted on small motorcycles due to its weight and space limitations.
Nifco, in collaboration with Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Honda) has developed a plastic screen adjuster that can easily adjust the windscreen without using any tools.
By making it into a compact unit, the assemblability to the motorcycle body has also been greatly improved.
This product was first used on a small motorcycle (Honda ADV150) in 2019.
The new screen adjuster developed for mid-sized motorcycles, which is now in mass production, is a further improved product.
While maintaining the same operability and assemblability as before, the new screen adjuster has expanded the adjustment range from two positions to four positions to improve the comfort.
This new screen adjuster is mounted on Honda ADV350.

Adopting the three-section slide structure, which is easier to secure strength, made it possible to reduce the thickness and replace the metal parts with plastic ones, resulting in a significant reduction in the number of parts and weight.

Compact unitization has reduced the man-hours required for motorcycle assembly.

Nifco’s proprietary fastening technology used for fastening metal shafts and other components.
（The 3-section slide mechanism is patented jointly with Honda, while other technologies are patented only by Nifco. The patent of the meter bracket structure, jointly applied for with Honda, has been published in Japan and other countries.）
