In March 2025, Resource Circulation Systems Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, President & Representative Director: Takamasa Hayashi, hereinafter referred to as " Resource Circulation Systems"), Daiei Kankyo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, President & Representative Director: Fumio Kaneko, hereinafter referred to as " Daiei Kankyo"), Nifco Inc. (Head Office: Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, President & Representative Director: Masaharu Shibao, hereinafter referred to as "Nifco"), BIPROGY Inc. (Head Office: Koto-ku, Tokyo, President & Representative Director: Noboru Saito, hereinafter referred to as " BIPROGY"), and Yagikuma Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukui City, President & Representative Director: Shinjiro Yagi, hereinafter referred to as "Yagikuma"), launched "XtoCar Project". This project will build a recycled plastic supply system for automobiles through an intra-vascular collaboration.
"XtoCar Project" is a collaboration between manufacturing and other industries (the artery industry) and industries (the vein industry) that recycle and properly dispose of waste. The project establishes a new recycling system to recycle waste plastic from non-automobiles into automotive parts. "XtoCar Project" aims to realize a sustainable resource-recycling society by integrating a range of processes from sorting, processing, evaluation, and simulation-to final commercialization.

【Background】
As a result of the tightening of the European ELV Regulations (Note 1), the regulations on resin recycling have become more stringent in the automotive industry. The conventional supply of recycled materials for waste plastics derived from automobiles has not kept pace. In Japan, a target has been set to cover at least 15% of the plastic required for automobiles using recycled materials by 2031, and the securing of at least 25,000 tons of recycled materials is required. As a result, there is an increasing need to recycle waste plastics derived from non-automobiles into automobile parts.
【Overview】
"XtoCar Project" will build a new recycling system in which each company uses its own expertise to recycle non-automotive waste plastic into automotive parts. Through this recycling system, we are able to effectively utilize waste plastic derived from non-automobiles, thereby contributing to the realization of a sustainable society through resource recycling.
Roles of each company

【Future Initiatives】
This project aims to mass-produce recycled materials for the automotive industry, while this new recycling process is applicable not only to the automotive industry but also to other industries.
We will also accelerate the effective use of resources through "iCEP PLASTICS" and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
Note 1:In July 2023, the European Commission issued a "Proposal for a Regulation on circularity requirements for vehicle design and on management of end-of-life vehicles", which amends the current ELV Directive (End-of-Life Vehicles Directive), etc.. The proposed rule included a mandatory minimum recycled plastic content for cars (and later 72 months after it became effective; more than 25% of post-consumer recycled plastic in new vehicles, of which more than 25% includes recycled plastic from end-of-life vehicles), etc. (published in a draft report by the European Parliament on January 29, 2025).
Note 2:A new recycling scheme will be realized through a one-stop digitization of the collection, recycling resin, molding and processing, commercialization, and recycling processes of waste plastics through a partnership of Arteriovenous × Digital.
