Nifco was founded in 1967 and the company turned its attention early on to reducing assembly-line labor and manpower, and then aggressively evolved into developing products that met our customers' needs. The company's small fasteners, which make full use of the lightweight, rustproof, and highly moldable nature of plastics, have greatly contributed to lowering costs and making improvements in efficiency on production lines for automobiles and customer electronics goods. Products born from the ideas of Nifco have brought about a “fastening revolution” in the Japanese industrial world.
Today, Nifco's products are not merely just the simply fastening products of its early days but now extend to many others for automobiles, including fuel-related components, and high value added, functional components that are energy efficiency and environmentally friendly. These components receive high praise from our customers. In addition, got the housing construction industry, Nifco has developed a unique mechanism for use with internal doors that helps to prevent accidents and cut the noise of operation. As a company, we are putting even more effort into the development of products that have safety features and are in accordance with environmental standards.
Nifco started its overseas expansion early in its history when it opened a factory in Taiwan in 1983 and now the company operates 25 factories and offices in 16 different countries around the globe. Nifco's main customers, the Japanese auto manufacturers, are accelerating their globalization and they demand the same levels of quality and pricing overseas as they receive in Japan. Nifco is moving forward with its own globalization program in order to respond to these demands from our customers and is promoting the use of automated production processes not only in Japan but also in its overseas factories as well.
Nifco has set its sights on building a system that can fully respond to its customers' needs anywhere in the world, and is endeavouring to strengthen its unique ability to offer solutions for the development of products which meet our customers' needs. Nifco also aims to be the number one company worldwide in the field of functional plastic components by strengthening its R&D, manufacturing, sales, and management sectors.
